Why Should You Refer to Us?
First and foremost our patients are our top priority. We treat everyone as if they are family and have their best interests at heart. Our goal is to always provide a pleasant experience in a comfortable environment. Our team consists of experienced administrative and clinical professionals including Kate Paner, PA-C who joined us in March of 2020. She is an integral part of the team with her background in asthma and allergy.
The practice accepts most commercial insurances, Medicare and Medicare replacement plans. Click here for a list of plans that are accepted.
For patient convenience, we can perform same day diagnostic tests and CT scans in the office during their appointment. Therefore, they do not have to make multiple appointments for tests and results. The practice is contracted with majority of insurances to perform CT scans in the office. However, some plans have a preferred facility that must be used. If you have a question about a specific plan, please call 702.805.1550.
What Medical Conditions Do We Focus on?
Nevada Sinus Relief was founded by board-certified ENT surgeon Dr. Ashley Sikand. Over the past several years, Dr. Sikand has focused his practice on treating sinus and nasal breathing disorders. We treat patients 18 years and over for:
- Chronic and recurrent acute sinusitis
- Deviated nasal septum
- Nasal congestion or nasal obstruction
- Nasal polyps
- Nasal Turbinate Hypertrophy
- Nasal valve stenosis (nasal valve collapse)
- Post nasal drip and chronic rhinitis
- Sinus headaches
What Options Are Available for Surgical Procedures?
Most patients can have their sinus procedure performed comfortably in the office without general anesthesia. If a patient has an insurance that doesn't cover in office balloon sinus dilation or their sinus problems are deemed severe, surgery is scheduled in the operating room at an ambulatory surgery center.
Office based surgery is ideal for patients who have pulmonary issues, those who do not tolerate anesthesia well, or those patients who are not good candidates for general anesthesia because of other health conditions. Some of these procedures include:
- Endoscopic sinus surgery with balloon dilation
- Nasal Turbinate Reduction
- Endoscopic Septoplasty
- Cryoablation therapy for chronic rhinitis
- Treating nasal valve stenosis/collapse using an absorbable implant (Latera)
