Please note that if an insurance requires an authorization or referral please list Ear, Nose and Throat Consultants of Nevada as the facility. Nevada Sinus Relief is a "brand" and not the name of Dr. Sikand's medical practice.
Why Should You Refer to Us?
First, our patients are our top priority. We treat everyone as if they are family and we have their best interests at heart. Second, our goal is to always provide a pleasant experience in a comfortable environment. Our team consists of experienced administrative and clinical professionals including Kathrina Paner, PA-C who joined us in March of 2020. She is an integral part of the team with her background in asthma and allergy.
For patient convenience, we can perform same day diagnostic tests and CT scans in the office during their appointment. Therefore, they do not have to make multiple appointments for tests and results.
What Medical Conditions Do We Focus on?
Nevada Sinus Relief was founded by board-certified ENT surgeon Dr. Ashley Sikand. Over the past several years, Dr. Sikand has focused his practice on treating sinus and nasal breathing disorders. We treat patients 16 years and older for:
- Chronic and recurrent acute sinusitis
- Deviated nasal septum
- Nasal congestion or nasal obstruction
- Nasal polyps
- Nasal turbinate hypertrophy
- Post nasal drip and chronic rhinitis
- Sinus headaches
- Sleep disordered breathing
- Snoring
What Options Are Available for Surgical Procedures?
Most patients can have their sinus procedure performed comfortably in the office under local anesthesia. If a patient has an insurance that doesn't cover an office based procedure or their sinus problems are deemed severe, surgery is scheduled at an outpatient ambulatory surgery center.
Office based surgery is ideal for patients who have pulmonary issues, those who do not tolerate anesthesia well, or those patients who are not good candidates for general anesthesia because of other health conditions. Some of these procedures include:
- Endoscopic sinus surgery with balloon dilation
- Nasal turbinate reduction
- Endoscopic septoplasty
- Nasal polypectomy
If you would like to refer a non-HMO patient please fax our physician referral form to (702) 780-6912 and we will contact the patient. Please include the patient's demographic information and medical records including office notes, medication lists, and test results including any allergy testing, sleep studies and CT or MRI scans. For patients with insurances requiring a referral please submit these to Ear, Nose and Throat Consultants of Nevada on the provider portal for their specific plan.
