Zonia Fiesta, APRN, FNP-BC joined Dr. Ashley Sikand in January of 2019. She is board certified by the Nevada State Board of Nursing and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Zonia performs physical examinations, diagnoses illnesses, orders and interprets test results, and treats her patients under the supervision of Dr. Sikand.
Originally from Honolulu, Hawai’i, Zonia moved to Seattle, Washington to obtain her first degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington Seattle. After that, she attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Zonia then went on to work at a prestigious hospital in Las Vegas on the trauma-surgical intensive care unit. She cared for critically and acutely ill patients with a variety of clinical conditions, including those who suffered from neurovascular, orthopedic, and cardio-thoracic trauma.
Zonia returned to the University of Nevada Las Vegas to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis as a family nurse practitioner. Through her education and training, she would go on to be inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Her education is grounded on evidence-based practice, thus the resources she frequents will always keep her practice up to date and based on the latest, peer-reviewed research yielding optimal outcomes for her patients. She believes creating an open channel for communication, as in developing a rapport with kindness and compassion, is the catalyst to achieving patient goals and plan of care outcomes.
Zonia loves to travel, spend quality time with family and friends, and enjoys an active lifestyle of fitness and overall health.
